Uson LP
This Houston based company had a requirement for a rugged interface for a new range of products that would offer front panel protection but, still have an attractive 21st century looking interface.
We designed, together with our colleagues at Design Edge, a keypad of our KeyFlex design covering the entire face of the product and having integral switching via membrane substrate with poly-domes and ribbon cable lead out. Ease of us was enhanced by the use of a touch sensitive circular capacitance selector.
Fixed with our KeyStick silicone rubber adhesive to the case moulding this gave not only a functional, attractive interface but also IP 65 sealing.
